A KOOKABURRA named Adelaide has joined DZG’s Go Wild! Theatre interactive daily bird displays – after losing almost a quarter of her body weight thanks to a strict diet.

Adelaide weighed 400 grams when she was transferred from Marwell Zoo, in Winchester, last year.

Presenter Kellie Piper said: “She was too heavy for the displays but following the dieting is now down to 317 grams, which is the healthy weight she should be, and which allows her to take part in the displays.’’
