A magical Christmas fairy tale

‘‘As Lucy looked through the window, she found she could not take her eyes off the Christmas tree.

It was truly the most amazing tree she had ever seen.

Several hundred fairy lights twinkled between the pine needles and from the tree’s branches hung red, silver and gold decorations.

It looked magnificent as it stood in the centre of the store’s front window.

Lucy’s eyes were slowly drawn upwards. She gasped in amazement, for there at the top of the tree was the most beautiful fairy doll.

Wearing a white and silver dress, her long, blonde, wavy hair hung down to her waist and on her head was a crown of frosted silver petals and in her hand she held a wand, its tip shining brightly like a star.

Her delicate wings were near transparent and glistened like dew in the morning sun; she shimmered from head to toe.

Lucy was just thinking how real the fairy looked when the strangest thing happened; the Fairy smiled at her...
