Good old family fun

PARENTS who worry they haven't got enough money to give their kids expensive treats may take heart from new research which shows that what makes most children happy is old-fashioned family fun.

A study of eight to 14-year-olds found that 94 per cent love fun with the family, with more than half saying it made them feel happy and loved.

Family psychologist Dr Raj Persaud says: "It may come as a surprise to some that today's children prefer simple family fun to spending time with their friends or in front of a computer."
