Biking to raise awareness

CYCLING from one side of the USA to the other may be an extreme form of fund-raising but Joe Millington is more than happy to do it for his sister.

Joe, 24, and his friend Daniel Poole, 25, are aiming to raise £20,000 for the Bone Cancer Research Trust, a charity which supported Hannah and her family through her ordeal.

Setting off from Washington DC in May, they are hoping to reach San Francisco by August, covering 3,500 miles and 11 states en route.

"I really wanted to raise awareness of the Bone Cancer Research Trust as it doesn't get a lot of publicity and we thought the bigger the challenge the more we could achieve," says Joe.
