Online diary helped me

HANNAH has kept an online diary since her diagnosis and not only did it keep friends in touch but was also followed by complete strangers.

"I just felt it was something I wanted to do, to keep me focussed on something," says Hannah.

"And it was a good way for people to follow how I was doing.

"But I also heard from other people who were going through similar situations and said it really helped them to read the diary."

Hannah's diary can be accessed at the www.halashawks.co.uk/hannah website.
