THIS halal, eat-in chippy is at the heart of Selly Oak's ultra-busy 'golden-breadcrumb mile'.

My wife had to stay with our motor in the absence of anywhere to park.

Served by a very pleasant blonde, a 90p cone of chips weighed 350g on my in-car scales.

Disappointingly greasy and not very hot, I was sorry they weren't as memorable as my own first student bag of Birmingham chips, bought many potato crops ago from this very shop.
