Classic Fryer, Hagley Road West, Halesowen

Classic Fryer

ONLY the dated 'Classic Fryer' sign lets down this friendly shop.

It's run by a lovely Cypriot couple whose Lincolnshire Maris Pipers come out of the pan with such a golden colour it's like eating a Mediterranean tan.

Updating that tired sign would be a great investment for a main road shop with a car park.

An 80p cone of chips weighed 360g on my in-car scales - and grew tastier with every nibble.
