Cheap as Chips: Westley Fish Bar, Westley Road, Acocks Green
THE grubby finger prints on the front window below a broken shop fascia spoke volumes when I arrived in search of an early lunchtime Saturday treat.
This busy area could surely sustain a ‘goldmine’ business, but the mongrel chips in an 85p cone weighing just 220g on my in-car scales were lukewarm and not at all memorable.
The extra effort required to keep any shop in tip top shape is often reflected in the food, but sadly not here.
