Frankfurt Market, Victoria Square, Birmingham
Question: When does eating chips force you to practice your maths?
Answer: When you visit Birmingham’s Frankfurt Market.
Here, I paid £2 for a tray of small to tiny chips which collectively weighed a pitiful 150g on my in-car scales.
What’s more, given that five us shared the ‘meal’, I felt compelled to count ‘em all out on a ‘one for you, one for you, one for you, one for you and one for me’ basis.
When I got to 25, the fun stopped. Total – five chips each. Cost – 8p per chip. Taste – great. Value – hardly.
