WITH its red, blue and green exterior this was already going to be one of the most colourful chippies I’ve been to.
But, inside the long, narrow, higgledy-piggledy street-corner shop, my cheerful server’s hands even seemed to be glowing a radioactive orange thanks to the spices!
His traditional-style chips tasted all right, but they might have been less greasy and more appetising if they’d had some old-fashioned heat inside them.
The £1 portion weighed a substantial 600g on my in-car scales.
