THE frontage looks very smart, but this shop’s hotchpotch interior reflects central Mere Green itself where it’s a nightmare to find your way around ready to park your car.
The individual rear-wall counters look rather sad compared with the way many chippies have been transformed by highly-skilled shopfitters, while the flourescent lighting would soon scramble my brain.
Still, the chips were just good enough to make the journey worthwhile – a £1.05 portion weighed 350g on my in-car scales.
