Classic, Dudley Road, Winson Green
ON A freezing day, the word Classic above the blue exterior of this shop gave me instant hunger pangs.
It was the sort of biological equivalent of a Belisha beacon warning of lunchtime chips ahead.
Expressing concern about the cold outside, my very friendly server dished up a monster bag for 85p which weighed more than 500g on my in car scales. They tasted all right, but, not for the first time this year, the chips had been cooked a while and were only lukewarm.
