Gadgets of the Week: Cable Reduction Systems
Emergency juicer – MiLi iPhone Power Pack – £49.95 from www.firebox.com
There’s been plenty of noise surrounding the sub-standard battery life of the iPhone.
There are a few of these clip-on chargers, but this is by far the best, offering twice the battery life of the iPhone itself while also being able to power-up other devices using a built-in mini USB.
Power pad – Wildcharge WCPAD1 Pad – £45.95 from www.amazon.co.uk
This is one of the first truly wireless charging stations.
You’ll need to cover your gadget – whether iPhone or Blackberry – with one of their special ‘skins’, but when you’ve done so, just put it down and marvel as it absorbs the amps.
Cable tidy – Refresh Charging Station – £69.99 from www.firebox.com
Available in a trio of colours, this cable-tidier does a decent job of covering up trails of electronic spaghetti.
It has six different connectors inside which cover pretty much all your rechargeable gizmos, plus a couple of Apple-friendly numbers for your iCharging delight.
It’s one of the pricier systems on show, but some will deem this a small price to pay to display their expensive hardware in such style.
