THIS clean chippy at the corner of Selsey Road has one of the best ‘open’ sites in the city.
Like the Dolphin on the Warwick Road, Acocks Green, your tongue could be hanging out from more than 100 yards away as you drive along Portland Road towards the shop.
It’s equally worth pulling over, too, as my very friendly server went to great lengths to pile every last chip into an 80p cone that weighed 400g on my in-car scales.
On a quiet lunchtime, the browned spuds tasted OK. But I felt they had had been hanging around a touch too long.
Better luck next time I’m passing, eh?
