HST to make a big impact

LAND Rover is to introduce new HST versions of its Freelander and Range Rover Sport models, which the company boasts will achieve even higher levels of dramatic visual impact.

Both will be available from March with prices from just under £32,000 for the Freelander HST and £59,895 for the Range Rover Sport HST.

Distinguishing features include a Sports Styling Pack with front and rear bumper aprons, side-sill mouldings and a rear roof spoiler.

Other Freelander enhancements include 19-inch alloy ten-spoke wheels with what the company calls a shadow chrome finish, leather seat facings, tinted glass and metallic paint.

The Range Rover Sport HST is available with either the TDV8 diesel or supercharged petrol engines and is equipped with 20-inch 'Stormer' wheels, a rear spoiler, body-coloured lower body and tailgate mouldings, electric sunroof, tinted glass and deep sculptured front and rear bumpers with integrated rectangular exhaust tailpipes.

It also has premium leather seats as standard with sports leather and leather Alcantara seats available as a no-cost option.

Land Rover managing director John Edwards, says: "The Free-lander 2 HST has an impressive muscular stance.

"It will appeal to those who require a dramatic visual impact without compromising practicality."

Last year the Freelander attracted more than 18,000 buyers in the UK, contributing to sales of more than 50,000 for the first year in the company's history.
