Women vote Audi convertible top car

A CONVERTIBLE has been named Car of the Year by a women’s motoring website.

The Audi A3 Cabriolet has been awarded the ultimate accolade by evecars.com.

The Audi topped a shortlist of 27 cars across eight categories selected from more than 3,000 models on sale in the UK.

Alex Jenner-Fust, editor of evecars.com, said: “The Audi A3 won over all the judges with its impressive combination of talents. It looks great and is neither too feminine nor flashy but classy and well styled.

“It’s easy enough to get a child seat in the back and the soft-top roof leaves more boot space than a folding hard top.”

The other judges were Eve magazine deputy editor Rachael Ashley, Vicky Parrott from Autocar magazine, Eve publisher Jessica Gibson, Eve reader Sarah Thane plus Steve Fowler, editor of What Car? magazine, which says the car has a classy cabin, is good to drive, and has room for four adults.

Women are said to influence more than three quarters of UK car purchases.
