Nissan looks well placed
THE range of Nissan models encompasses each of the sectors of the market for which there is greatest demand and the company is well placed to take advantage of the eventual upturn.
They include the Micra city model, the Note mini MPV, five and seven-seat versions of the Qashqai crossover, the 350Z coupe and roadster sports models plus the X-Trail, Murano, Pathfinder and Patrol 4x4s.
The latest addition to the range is the Qashqai+2, which features the same distinctive style, top-quality materials and genuine driving enjoyment as the standard Qashqai model, but brings added space and versatility to increase seating capacity from five to seven.
The greater length and longer wheelbase of the Qashqai+2 accommodates an extra row of seats designed for children or for occasional adult use and has allowed luggage space to be expanded by 90 litres.
Nissan’s portfolio of crossovers is completed by the distinctive Murano, the latest version of which is designed as a ‘super evolution’ of the original.
It boasts elegant new looks, a luxurious interior, a 3.5-litre V6 now developing 252bhp and a more premium driving feel thanks to the new advanced platform and lighter suspension.
Prices are £32,100 for the Tekna and £32,595 for the Tekna Pack.
It is now more than 25 years since the first Nissan Micra was introduced to the European market and the range has expanded to encompass four petrol models and an ultra-frugal 1.5-litre diesel.
Note prices range from £10,130 for the 1.4 Visia to £14,875 for the 1.5 dCi 102 Tekna.
Like the Qashqai, the X-Trail comes with a choice of four wheel drive or two wheel drive, manual and automatic transmissions and prices from £19,235 to £26,550
