How can I submit an application for my business?
Complete the nomination form below, including as much information as possible, and in particular on how you intend to spend any £ you are applying for.

Can I nominate my local corner shop on their behalf?
Yes, we invite all our Birmingham Mail readers to nominate a local business that may have been affected. You may not know exactly what that small business needs to get back on its feet, but send us the application and we’ll speak to the business directly to fill in the gaps. Please include their contact details and ensure they are aware that you have applied.

How will the £10,000 be distributed?
A carefully selected panel of judges will review all applications and decide how to distribute the £10,000 across the businesses who apply. Funds are available up to £1,000 per small business applying, but awards can be of any smaller quantity. This means that at least 10 small businesses will benefit from this fantastic re-build opportunity supported by The Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy.

Does my business qualify for a grant?
To qualify for a grant from the Small Business Recovery fund the small business must satisfy the following criteria

- Have been directly affected by damage and looting during the riots Monday 8/Tuesday 9 August (have a police incident number??)
- Must employ less than 50 people
- Be trading within the circulation area of the Birmingham Mail. A full postcode list and footprint of the circulation can be found at http://www.trinitymirror-midlands.co.uk/locations.html.

When we receive your application we will:

- Send you an acknowledgement of receipt
- Review your application to see if it meets the criteria
- Contact you or the business if we require further information
- Notify you of the outcome of your application as soon as possible
