German footballers blag a lift back from Birmingham
Members of Germany’s national blind football team, hitched a lift from Birmingham where they have been stranded, back to Stuttgart thanks to a passing Austrian coach returning stranded passengers.
Player Alex Fangmann, aged 25, said: “We were due to play two friendly matches against the England team in Hereford but had to get a coach over last week. The journey took 26 hours.”
