Boy 'filmed sex act by teacher' - court told

A FEMALE school teacher was caught performing a sex act on a pupil in school when the teenager filmed it on his mobile phone, a court heard today.

Rebecca Poole met the then 15-year-old in the drama studio of their secondary school in Birmingham where the alleged sex act took place.

Birmingham Crown Court was told that Poole also met the youngster around six times in the city centre where they had sex in her car.

The 26-year-old drama teacher from May Lane, Hollywood, near Redditch, Worcestershire, appeared in court today to deny three counts of sexual activity with a child under 16 and one count of abuse of trust.

Opening the case Sally Hancox, prosecuting, said the relationship started with flirting in the spring and summer terms.

When the lad returned to school for the following autumn term the "touching and flirting moved into something tangibly physical and sexual", Miss Hancox said.

The relationship was uncovered when the boy's family found the footage on his mobile phone and called the police.

Miss Hancox said when confronted by the video footage Poole told police that she had felt threatened by the youngster and had been forced to perform oral sex because he was holding a screwdriver to the back of her head.
