Two stabbed in garage forecourt row

A MAN was stabbed in the neck and another in the leg when a row exploded into violence on a Birmingham petrol station forecourt.

The pair were attacked outside the Texaco garage, in Tile Cross, at 8.25am yesterday.

Police said three men were involved in a dispute at the garage, in Tile Cross Road, when one of the men lashed out at the other two with a weapon.

One of the men suffered a stab wound to the neck, the other a leg wound. The victims, both in their 20s, were taken to Heartlands Hospital. They have not been named. Their injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.

The attacker is thought to have fled on foot from the scene, which was later cordoned off to allow forensics experts to carry out a search for clues.

Detectives were today due to interview the victims in hospital in a bid to determine the reason for the stabbings.

"There was some sort of dispute of the garage forecourt. As a result one man attacked two others," a police spokesman said. "Inquiries are continuing."

Anyone with information should call detectives at Stechford on 0845 113 5000.
