Villa fans take a trip on cup glory bus

Geoff Lusher takes the wheel of the former Aston Villa FA Cup coach, with artist Dan Tajo and Helen Watkins of MCD.

VILLA fans can relive one of their club's finest moments tomorrow with a free ride on the bus which took their team to its 1957 FA Cup final victory.

The vintage Flights Coach, which Villa used to travel to Wembley when they beat Manchester United's 'Busby Babes', will be at the Jewellery Quarter's first Arts & Designer Craft Festival.

As well as free rides on the bus, which is housed at Aston Manor Transport Museum, visitors can enjoy a glimpse behind the scenes at the Jewellery Quarter. Some of the traditional workshops will hold open days.

Harry Potter fans can take part in a competition at the Pen Museum in Frederick Street where there will be a 'wand making' workshop.

Budding artists are also invited by the Watercolour Society to paint St Paul's Square and its flowers. The pictures will be auctioned off for charity.

Visitors to the event, which runs from 10.30am to 4pm, can also buy works produced by local jewellers and artists from 50 stalls based in St Paul's Square and the surrounding area.
