Police hunt knifeman after attack

A MAN was knifed in a street stabbing in Birmingham city centre.

The 36-year-old was in Corporation Street when he was attacked at 8.30pm yesterday.

Paramedics stabilised the man before transferring him to hospital. Police said his injuries were "not life-threatening".

No one has yet been arrested.

Part of the shopping street was cordoned off after officers had been alerted to the attack.

Detectives at Steelhouse Lane police station were today trawling through CCTV film for footage of the incident and any images of the knifeman.
