Join X Factor star Kimberley in Birmingham for Christmas carol singalong

X Factor star Kimberley Southwick.

HAVE you got the X-mas factor? If so you can join young and old who are tuning up to sing alongside X Factor finalist Kimberley Southwick in Birmingham tomorrow.

The 19-year-old, who sang in front of millions on the TV talent show, will lead a special Birmingham Mail Christmas carol concert.

Kimberley will be crooning her way through a selection of favourites at the Pallasades shopping centre, above New Street Station, from noon.

Money raised on the day will be given to good causes through the Birmingham Mail Charity Trust, which has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds since it was established in 1889.

Kimberley, who will be spending Christmas with her parents at their pub in Tamworth, is looking forward to the festive sing-song.

The former pupil at Balsall Common's Heart of England School was voted out of the first episode of X Factor 2007 in October, after singing It's Raining Men.

She said: "I'm really excited about doing this for Birmingham because it is my home town and it's for a good cause. I hope lots of people will come along and join in.

"I just love Christmas. My favourite Christmas carol is Silent Night because it's just so pretty."

Kimberley will be joined by youngsters from a youth music group based at St David's Church, in Shenley Green, Northfield and children from St Mary's Church Choir, in Moseley.
