Cleared terror trial man speaks out

A FATHER-of-three cleared of involvement in Birmingham's soldier beheading terror plot today spoke for the first time of his "year-long nightmare".

Shopkeeper Amjad Mahmood wants answers to how he became embroiled in an MI5 operation that saw him separated from his young family in a maximum security jail.

His third child was born as he awaited trial accused of covering up crazed Parviz Khan's plot to kidnap a Muslim soldier on Broad Street and have him beheaded.

Finally able to hold his new son after being cleared earlier this month, he has vowed to quit Alum Rock because of the "harrowing" memories of his ordeal.
