All male cheerleaders support Race for Life

cancer research race for life

BIRMINGHAM mums, daughters, and sisters will be crossing the Race for Life finishline to polished cheerleading performances next month.

A team of male workers from Beiersdorf, the company behind race sponsors Nivea, has been getting pom-pom practice to wow the crowds at the Cancer Research UK fund-raiser.

Birmingham-based troop Stars Elite put the workers through their paces and taught them a few moves for the Sutton Park event, that takes place on Saturday, July 12.

Company buyers Chris Askew and Neil Denny will be among the dancers on the day, with graduate trainee Paul Ford and brand manager Richard Duplock.

Sarah Carter, from Nivea, said: "Although Race for Life is a women-only event, we really want men to feel they can offer their support and play an important part in the day, too.

"Our cheerleaders will add to the already great atmosphere on the day and encourage other guys to offer their support to their female friends and relatives."

As well as the cheerleading treat, runners get a goody bag filled with Nivea products.
