Boy hit by car in Frankley dies in hospital

THE devastated family of a young talented footballer who died after a road accident in Birmingham today told of their heartbreak.

Eight-year-old Jordan Kane died in Birmingham Children’s Hospital after being in collision with a car in Holly Hill Road, Frankley, on Friday night.

His mum Joanne, aged 35, described Jordan, who lived at the family home off Holly Hill Road, as a “very popular, very loving son”, who loved playing football and watching his beloved Aston Villa.

More than 30 floral tributes and messages of condolence have been left in the street where the accident happened, close to the junction with Brightstone Road.

Jordan was in collision with a car at about 7.10pm on Friday. Doctors lost a battle to save him the following afternoon.
