BIRMINGHAM’S troubled Zavvi music store in the Pavillions will slash its sale prices by up to 50 per cent today, as administrators race to find a new owner.

Administrators, Ernst &Young, closed 22 shops across the country yesterday with the loss of 178 jobs.

Staff at the Pavillions store survived the cull.
