Perverted conman Simon Quinn evicted from Hawkesley home

Amanda said she was appalled when she later learned that Quinn had used some of the stolen money to pay for their wedding three years ago.

She was suspicious at the time about how he had managed to pay for a lavish champagne reception, but he passed off her concerns by claiming that he had borrowed the money from a friend.

He was already behind bars when he was convicted later convicted of sexually assaulting a young girl.

A judge sentenced him to two years, which he must serve once his four-year jail term has been completed.

Amanda said: “I loved him and he meant the world to me.

“Now I realise that the man I married wasn’t the real Simon Quinn.

“He hid the real Simon behind this facade and I realise now that he was a very good liar.

“I would like him to apologise but I don’t think he’s big enough to admit what he has done.”

Neighbour Janet Parker-Bourne, a 53-year-old artist, said: “The aftermath of this has been quite upsetting.

“It was bad enough to think I was sharing a street with a man capable of doing this and then he moved this woman in. I’m pleased we have seen the last of her.”

Local families have been told that Quinn will not be allowed to return to the Three Estates area.

Coun Ayoub Khan, cabinet member for community safety, said: “The council’s anti-social behaviour unit worked hard to ensure that Simon Quinn could never return to his address and we are pleased with the legal outcome.

“The action we have taken will reassure Hawkesley’s residents that their safety and well being is our priority.”
