Boy, two, dies after fall from ride
A two-year-old boy has died after falling from a fairground ride.
The toddler died on Tuesday evening after the incident on the ride at Ducketts Common in Turnpike Lane, north London, the Metropolitan Police said.
The boy was with his mother and father at the time.
A Met spokeswoman said: "Police were called to reports of a child fallen from a fairground ride at Ducketts Common, Turnpike Lane, N8.
"Local officers and the ambulance services attended.
"A two-year-old boy was taken by ambulance to The Royal London Hospital. He was pronounced dead on arrival."
The Health and Safety Executive is investigating and a post-mortem is due to take place.
Police said the fairground was closed after the incident.
Nobody has been arrested.
