PLANS to partially rebuild an inner city school and bring it into the 21st century have been given the go-ahead by Birmingham councillors.
Broadway School in Perry Barr will get a new main entrance, extensions, classrooms and playing pitches, while a scout hut, caretaker’s house and pre-fabricated classrooms will be demolished.
The rebuilding is the first phase of the Government-backed Building Schools for the Future programme which will see £140 million invested in city schools.
