A FAMILY from hell who mounted a ten-year reign of terror against neighbours have been evicted from their council house.

Neighbours clapped and cheered as Karen Wilkins was evicted from her home in Harvington Road, Weoley Castle.

They looked on as Wilkins carried suitcases to a car which drove her away yesterday following an operation by bailiffs and the police.

Council workers immediately fitted shutters to the property to prevent Wilkins, her daughter and her two tearaway sons from ever returning.

Neighbours, who suffered a sustained campaign of intimidation and violence, said they were relieved the family had finally gone.

Next door neighbour Sissy Hee had to send her nine-year-old son to China to live with his grandfather because of a two-year campaign of racist abuse.

Ms Hee, a 39-year-old solicitor, said: “I am so relieved and so happy. It has been going on for such a long time, but now I can get back to having a normal life.

“I took a few hours off work just to make sure that it actually happened.

“I can get back some basic safety and I can finally live in my house properly that I bought two years ago.

“I can also look at bringing my son back from China. I am proud that I made this stand against these people and I am thankful to the police and the council who have been there to help me.”

She said she had been burgled by one of Wilkins’ sons. somebody painted her window white, rubbish was constantly thrown into her garden, her walls were banged in the middle of the night and the family shouted that she was a “Chinky prostitute”.
