“The Jewellery Quarter has not only supplied the world full of diamonds but also a great musical gem.”

Sally Sherlock, a 35-year-old child-care student from Stechford, and her daughter Lauren, ten, were among the first in line to meet the band.

“I’ve been a massive fan since they started,” said Sally.

“I like them not only because they are from Birmingham but also because their music is really good.”

Luke Hanlon, 16, a student from Kings Norton, said: “It’s great they are local because it makes it easier to relate to them.”
