FORMER Villa superstar Mark Walters was guest of honour at an exhibition highlighting the contribution of black footballers to the national game.

The Villa old boy met fans and local kids at Quinton Library.

The exhibition, ‘Pioneers, Past Masters and Future Challenges’ is at Quinton Library until Friday, Harborne Library (Oct 19-31) and Bartley Green library (Nov 2-14).

City councillor Martin Mullaney said: “The fact that so many black players from across the world now play football in England at the very highest level is thanks to the courage and persistence of players like Mark.”
