A PERVERT who carried out sex attacks on two girls has been put behind bars for three years.

Judge John Wait also ruled that Michael Read should register as a sex offender for life and barred him from working with children.

Helena Miller, prosecuting, told Wolverhampton Crown Court that Read showed one of his victims a pornographic film before carrying out a sex attack.

Read, 56, of Old Walsall Road, Great Barr, admitted two charges of sexual assault on a child under 13 years of age.

Michael Gray, defending, said Read had been drinking heavily before the offences and he had little recollection of the events.
