Birmingham paedophile raped date's 14-year-old daughter

A PREDATORY Birmingham paedophile who repeatedly raped the 14-year-old daughter of a woman he met on a single parents’ dating website is today behind bars.

Philip Brown, 37, moved into the woman’s house, in Worcestershire, and sexually assaulted the teenager whilst her mum was out working shifts, Worcester Crown Court heard.

His perverted reign was only stopped when the mother “caught him red handed” having sex with her daughter.

Brown, of Ox Leasow, Woodgate Valley, was given an indeterminate prison sentence yesterday, after pleading guilty to two charges of rape, taking indecent pictures of his victim and downloading over 50,000 indecent images of other children.

Judge Patrick Thomas set the minimum term as 12 years which means he can apply for parole in six years time.

He told Brown: “I’m afraid I am unable to arrive at anything but the conclusion that you came into this family as a predator with your eye on the young children of that family.”

Charles Hardy, prosecuting, told the court that in 1992, when he was 19, Brown was sent to a young offenders institution for indecently assaulting an eight-year-old boy.
