Business Link WM has announced that 47 jobs will go from its Quinton headquarters, including 22 compulsory job losses.
The Museums, Libraries and Archives Council, which has its national headquarters in Bennetts Hill, Birmingham, and employs 48 people in the city, is to be closed.
West Midlands NHS, the health authority based in Edgbaston which employs 498 people, is to be axed.
Advantage West Midlands, a government agency set up to support industry, is also to be shut. It employs 326 people.
Birmingham City Council also announced in July that up to 430 jobs could be cut.
But Ms Burt said she believed there was more to come.
She warned: “I’m particularly concerned about the impact of the cuts that are going to be coming our way in the region on October 22.
“We’ve got the comprehensive spending review and we know that is going to have a big impact on our public sector jobs, and we are all bracing ourselves with concern about any job cuts that may be coming our way.”
She added: “There are 636,900 jobs in the region which are public sector jobs. They are 27 per cent of the total jobs in the region, which is high.
“What we need from government is some support. We know we are going to lose public sector jobs, so we need help and support in diverting support to ensure we achieve growth in the private sector.”
