A NOTORIOUS clamping firm has been ordered to stump up hundreds of pounds after illegally pouncing on a vehicle car a Birmingham pub.
Land Rover worker Felix Cole pulled up outside the Fox and Goose, in Washwood Heath, in a car park reserved for customers.
He visited a cashpoint before entering the pub as a paying customer.
Only when he left to retrieve cigarettes from his car did he discover it had been clamped by Midway Parks Ltd, which then charged him £350 for it to be released.
Mr Cole took his complaint to Birmingham’s Small Claims Court, where it was upheld and the Bordesley based company ordered to fork out £445 in compensation and legal fees.
The 41-year-old, from Tamworth, said: “It’s a huge relief.
