FOOTBALL hooligans ripped up toilets and urinated on the floor during the Carling Cup Quarter Final between Birmingham City and Aston Villa at St Andrew’s.
A video posted on YouTube appears to show Aston Villa fans pulling doors off toilet cubicles before smashing sinks and urinals with a rubbish bin.
One fan appears to urinate on the floor while a group of men chant obscenities about the ground.
The person videoing the carnage is heard laughing as he films his feet in the huge puddles surrounding him.
It is believed that the damage was caused before the final whistle of the cup tie as the men can be heard singing “We’re the famous Aston Villa and we’re off to Wembley.”
Aston Villa lost the match 2-1 are now out of the Carling Cup.
Birmingham City FC confirmed that toilets in the Gil Merrick stand were damaged on Wednesday night.
A spokesman from the club said: “All relevant CCTV footage, YouTube videos and photographs are currently being studied by Birmingham City Football Club and West Midlands Police.
“Numerous witness statements have also been taken in an attempt to identify individuals involved in the disorder on Wednesday night.”
