Review: JLS at LG Arena, Birmingham - with picture gallery

SCREAMS could be heard across Birmingham as heart-throb boy band JLS arrived on stage.

The fab four had their fans’ motors running as they descended into the Birmingham leg of their Outta This World tour in a convertible car.

As Oritsé, JB, Aston, and Marvin broke into song and dance they sent the Brummie crowd into a frenzy.

The temperature may have been sub-zero outside but inside it was electric.

The boys – who found fame on Simon Cowell’s X Factor – opened the show with the title track, Outta This World, as they were suspended above the mostly female crowd.

Once back on firm ground, the quartet, dressed in stylish blue, yellow/gold outfits, launched into a string of their most well-known hits, including Eyes Wide Shut and their earlier numbers, Everybody In Love and Beat Again.

The Birmingham gig was an extra special date for JB, who celebrated his 24th birthday.

The full house joined the band members for a birthday singalong and he told the crowd: “This has been the most memorable birthday ever.”

JLS told the Birmingham Mail they would be having a shopping splurge at the city’s Bullring.
