A STAR squad of footballers’ wives have Christmas all wrapped up for poorly children who will spend the festive season in hospital.

The other halves of Blues stars Seb Larsson, Stuart Parnaby and Colin Doyle joined club officials and John Lewis department store workers to paper up hundreds of presents for kids at Birmingham Children’s and Heartlands hospitals.
The goodies were paid for by the club, players, John Lewis and other retailers as part of Birmingham City’s Give A Gift campaign.
They will be delivered by Blues players in the run-up to Christmas.
Larsson’s girlfriend Tina Lonnberg and Parnaby’s wife Paula joined Becky Doyle – wife of goalkeeper Doyle for the big wrap.
Becky, whose son Liam spent weeks in hospital fighting meningitis earlier this year, was given the task of co-ordinating the purchase of gifts for the children.
“Due to generous donations from the players and retailers we have been able to buy more than ever,” she said.
“We have gifts for children of all ages, from babies to teenagers, who are in hospital for various conditions.
“I have worked closely with a play specialist on the wards to tailor the gifts for the children and help with their rehabilitation. We created a shopping list for each ward.
