THE husband of a Birmingham mum-of-six has made a desperate plea for her to come home after she disappeared days before Christmas.

Devastated Mohammed Akhtar said his four youngest children had been asking “where’s mummy?” since his 41-year-old wife Nasim vanished on December 23.

And he said the festive season was cancelled as his anguished family became increasingly frantic for news of what had happened to her.

“We didn’t even think about Christmas and New Year,” Mohammed said.

“We’re just trying to come to terms with what’s happened and how it can be that there are no clues coming from any angle.”

Nasim, married to Mohammed for 24 years, left the family home in Norris Road, Aston, to go to the bank – but never returned.

She was last seen on CCTV footage which showed her leaving the TSB bank in Perry Barr and heading towards the One Stop shopping centre.

The couple’s children Sonia Arif, aged 16, Alisha, 14, Naylor, 12, Taranom, seven, and Ibriahim, five, were returning to school today while the youngest, four-year-old Sarah, stayed at home.
