TRAGIC teenager Alina Sarag shares a laugh with her classmates in a science lesson at her Birmingham school.

The 15-year-old, who died suddenly from tuberculosis, shows her “fun-loving” character in a photo taken at Golden Hillock School, in Sparkhill.

Her head teacher Matthew Scarrott paid tribute to the popular pupil, shown testing the static charge of a Van der Graaf generator.

He said staff have been helping students to deal with the “deep shock” of her death.

“It was a terrible shock to us,” he said. “It’s affected the school because it was very sudden.

“We have been talking to students and we are in deep shock about it.

“Our sympathies are with the family and our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
