Britain's Got Talent rolled into Birmingham complete with two new judges and hordes of screaming fans.

People travelled from all over the country and queued for six hours in the freezing cold – just to be in the audience of the TV show.

The round of televised auditions were held at the Alexandra Theatre on Monday and it drew the crowds.

Amanda Holden, David Hasselhoff and Michael McIntyre arrive for the Britain's Got Talent auditions in Birmingham

Despite the absence of two of the original judges, Piers Morgan and Simon Cowell, hundreds of people turned out in force to catch a glimpse of famous faces.

And they were not disappointed. First to step out of a chauffeur-driven car was Amanda Holden looking very smart in a camel coat covering her pregnancy bump and sky-high black stilettoes.

Next to delight the crowds was comedian Michael McIntyre who signed a few autographs but then scuttled inside only pausing briefly for the waiting press pack.

But then it was the turn of Baywatch and Knight Rider legend then David Hasselhoff.

But "The Hoff" got off to a shaky start by angering fans by sitting in the back of his car talking on his mobile and not getting out.

The crowd started shouting “Hoff Hoff Hoff!” which quickly turned to boos.

He then got out of the car and back into the crowd’s good books by spending longer than the other two judges signing autographs and chatting to fans.

And when he stepped into the low winter sunshine he delighted waiting photographers by donning his sunglasses and posing and shouting out “Wow! Californian sunshine – yes!”

All the auditionees were already inside the theatre being briefed and prepared.
