
A MAN was killed when a car overturned and ended up in a front garden.
The 27-year-old, who has been named locally as Leon Williams, was pronounced dead at the accident scene at The Ridgeway in Erdington.
He was inside a Subaru when the driver lost control and it overturned several times.
The car careered into a street light, road sign and a second car before finally coming to rest in the garden just before 9pm on Tuesday.
A second man, aged 23, who was also inside the Subaru, suffered a cut head and complained of back pain. The driver of the other car escaped with minor injuries.
One witness, who would not be named, said: “I was there just after it happened.
“Everyone was saying the car hit the pavement, went upside down and rolled over.
“There was a big crowd and everyone was watching.
“Loads of police came straight away and closed the road, then the ambulance came.
