THEY are Birmingham’s answers to the Monopoly-money addresses of Park Lane and Mayfair.

These are the most exclusive streets in the West Midlands, the homes to Premiership footballers and the city’s most successful businessmen and where an average house will set potential buyers back a cool £1.37 million.

According to an annual property survey, Bracebridge Road on the private Four Oaks Estate in Sutton Coldfield, is the region’s most expensive road.

Roman Grange in nearby Little Aston was the second most expensive, with average prices soaring to £1,360,400.

Sutton Coldfield dominated the list of the top ten most expensive roads in the region, according to the Mouseprice Annual Street Rankings Survey.

Eight of the ten streets were either in Four Oaks or Little Aston, with Solihull and Edgbaston making up the remaining two.

A sign at the entrance of Bracebridge Road, a stone’s throw from Sutton Park and Moor Hall Golf Club, proclaims “Four Oaks Estate – Private Road” leaving visitors in no doubt they have left the riff raff behind and are entering the domain of the seriously wealthy.

It is a long road, not especially wide and the hedges look like they could use a trim.
