MARATHON man ‘blind’ Dave Heeley is set to undertake his biggest challenge yet – ten marathons in ten days.

And the 53 year-old, from West Bromwich, is being backed by Premiership footballers from the Albion, Blues and Villa.

Dave is aiming to raise £100,000 for the Macmillan Cancer Support charity in his latest challenge called Top2Toe.

It will start in August when Dave runs and cycles from John O’Groats to Land’s End.

Baggies defender Jonas Olsson said: “He’s superhuman.

“I don’t think I could run even one marathon.

“I’m really impressed with that desire and determination to push yourself for such a great cause.” Also backing Dave at the launch, at Birmingham Council House yesterday, was Aston Villa’s Carlos Cuellar and 1970s Birmingham City player Malcolm Page.
