Man's body found under Spaghetti Junction at rush-hour

THE body of a man was discovered at Spaghetti Junction as thousands of rush-hour commuters drove past.

The man, who has not yet been named by police, was found just before 7am yesterday under Salford Circus where the Aston Expressway meets the A5127 and links to junction six of the M6.

West Midlands Police sealed off part of the busy junction, but said no road closures were needed.

A spokeswoman said the death was not being treated as suspicious.

She said: “We were called at 6.45am to reports of a man’s body found at Spaghetti Junction.

“The man was pronounced dead at the scene.”

The Coroner has been informed.
