POLICE are trying to identify a man found in a pool of blood in a Birmingham street.
The man was found unconscious with head injuries outside Barclays Bank in Soho Road, Handsworth, at 4.15am yesterday.
He was taken to hospital where his condition was described as serious.
Officers found the man when they were called to reports of an incident.
A team of detectives are investigating the incident and have been interviewing witnesses and collecting CCTV footage.
The area was taped off yesterday so forensic investigators could examine the scene.
A police spokesman said: “The man has not yet been identified and we are currently working to identify him.
“We would ask anybody thinks they might know his identity or is concerned for somebody who is missing to call the police.”
