A COMEDY club for female performers has raised £1,000 for women escaping domestic violence.

The Laughing Cows Birmingham Club, which meets monthly at the Kitchen Garden Café in Kings Heath, collected the cash for Birmingham and Solihull Women’s Aid at a sell-out show. Launched in Birmingham in 2009, the club has featured names such as Barbara Nice, Shazia Mirza, and Jo Enright.
